Titans Character Breakdowns Reveal Possibly New Members & Villain

The upcoming live-action Teen Titans show Titans is just weeks away from starting production in Toronto, Canada. But it appears that we will be seeing more members join the team. Thanks to our friends over at That Hashtag Show, they are reporting that a few other characters are currently being cast.

As they mention in their story, Titans Podcast helped a little to find out these new characters might be from the comics. We remind you that the suggestions of who they could be, are just suggestions for now until the characters are fully cast.

[DANIEL CROSS] Male, 17-19, Caucasian. Athletic, street smart, cocky, yet charming. His life is changed forever when he crosses a crime fighter and is given a new outlet for his rebellious ways. RECURRING GUEST STAR.

Titans

Possible DC Character(s): we debated whether “Daniel Cross” could either be Danny Chase a.k.a. Phantasm, who was a member of the group for a short time, or Roy Harper a.k.a. Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow. If they’re casting Roy for this show, it 100% means that the show isn’t set in the Arrowverse’s Earth-1.

[JENNIFER ANDREWS] Female, 20s/30s, Caucasian. Small town, Midwestern girl gone to Hollywood, Jennifer is a star on the rise. She comes across a doe-eyed, All-American and naive in her approach to her art, and life. Jennifer emulates the classic girl-next-door actors from the 1940’s and 50’s. A bit Stepford-y in her thinking and appearance, Jennifer feels like a woman out of time. RECURRING GUEST STAR.

Titans

Possible DC Character(s): “Jennifer” sounds like none other than DC’s Rita Ferr a.k.a. Elasti-Girl! Not only is she known for being a member of the Doom Patrol in the comics, but she is also the adoptive mother….of Garfield Logan a.k.a. Beast Boy who will be played by Ryan Potter! It remains to be seen if that is the direction the show will go, should “Jennifer” be Elasti-Girl.

[CAROLINE] Female, 40s, Caucasian. Forever sleepless with worry, she’s the mother to a young, troubled teen. Seeking a recognizable cameo face or name. GUEST STAR.

Titans

Possible DC Character(s): This description indicates that “Caroline” could be Arella, the biological mother of Rachel Roth a.k.a. Raven, who will be played by Teagan Croft. Given that the show is reportedly also casting her adoptive mother, it only makes sense that they’re looking to cast Raven’s real mother.

[THE MESSENGER] Male, 50s-60s, Open ethnicity. Outwardly a warm and kind presence, he doesn’t seem the type to be powerful or malicious. But he has the ability to turn on a dime and be the most terrifying man you have ever met. Seeking offer only names/recognizable faces…RECURRING GUEST STAR.

Titans

Possible DC Character(s): “The Messenger” has the potential to be Brother Blood, one of the most iconic Teen Titans villains in the mythology. While we’ve seen the Sebastian Blood version on Arrow, there have been multiple people to carry that title in the lore.

“Titans explores one of the most popular comic book teams ever. It follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire, Raven and others.”
